A new regular train service between Tirupati and Raxaul via Dhanbad has started operations from Monday, June 1. This new service provides passengers from Dhanbad an additional direct rail link to South India, as well as to several cities in North Bihar, including Barauni, Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Sitamarhi.
Train Schedule
- Train number 17433 (Tirupati–Raxaul Express) will depart from Tirupati every Monday at 8:15 AM, passing through Dhanbad on Wednesday early morning at 3:50 AM, and reaching Raxaul by 5:00 PM the same day.
- In the return direction, Train number 17434 (Raxaul–Tirupati Express) will depart every Thursday at 3:15 AM, reach Dhanbad at 4:15 PM, and arrive in Tirupati on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
Route and Coaches
The train will operate with General, Sleeper, 3AC, and 2AC coaches. Ticket booking has already begun, and seats are currently available across all classes.
The train will pass through major stations including Guntakal, Secunderabad, Gondia, Durg, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Chittaranjan, Jasidih, Jhajha, Barauni, Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Sitamarhi.

- Dhanbad to Tirupati:Sleeper: ₹875
- 3AC: ₹2220
- Dhanbad to Raxaul:Sleeper: ₹330
- 3AC: ₹880
This new train is expected to improve connectivity between Jharkhand, North Bihar, and South India, benefiting long-distance travelers significantly.
